We walked to his car. "Corvette? I guess you can't take the kids in this one," I chuckled.

"Every man is entitled to his dream car. For me it's the 1963 hard top corvette," Bart said of his baby.

"And you're going to let me drive it?" I asked.

"Yes. You've driven on the Autobahn in Germany, correct? And I'm tired right now. I value my life more than my ego. And yes, it's manual transmission. You do know how to drive manual?" he asked.

I didn't reply. I opened up the driver's side first, made sure the seat was as far back as possible, put my duffel bag and backpack in the back, entered the car and opened the passenger side. I adjusted the driver's side mirror and adjusted the rear view mirror. Satisfied, I put the car in reverse, backed out of the parking spot, put the car in 1st gear, and drove.
